Police investigating motorcycle crash that killed man in southeastern Massachusetts

CARVER, Massachusetts — Police say a 28-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in southeastern Massachusetts.

Authorities found William Stinchfield Jr. unconscious around 3:15 a.m. Friday in a wooded area off Gate Street in Carver, not far from his home. Police also found a motorcycle nearby.

Stinchfield was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries about an hour later.

Carver police are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
