Delaware State Police investigating armed robbery of Stanton gas station


STANTON, Delaware — The Delaware State Police says it's investigating the armed robbery of a gas station in Stanton.

State Police said in a statement that on Monday around 8:15 p.m. a man entered the Exxon at 414 Main Street. State Police says that the man was armed with a gun and confronted a male clerk, demanding money from the cash register. State Police says the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled.

State Police described the suspect of a black male between the ages of 18 and 25. And State Police say he was last seen wearing a black hat, black clothing and black boots. They say he had his face covered with a white shirt or towel.
