Authorities ID woman whose body was pulled from SE Colorado reservoir after falling from tube


PUEBLO, Colorado — Authorities have released the name of a woman whose body was recovered from a reservoir in southeastern Colorado after she fell from a tube being pulled by a jet ski.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (http://goo.gl/mRQx6V ) 33-year-old Shannon Pierce, of Colorado Springs, was found unresponsive in Holbrook Reservoir on Saturday morning. Otero County Sheriff Shawn Mobley says the woman was not wearing a life jacket, and the jet ski driver was issued a safety citation.

An autopsy is planned for this week.

Holbrook Reservoir is about 50 miles southeast of Pueblo.
