KITTANNING, Pennsylvania — One person has been found dead in a house fire in rural western Pennsylvania.

Crews remained at the scene in North Buffalo Township, where the fire was reported about 8:45 a.m. Friday. The fire is about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, near Kittanning.

Armstrong County emergency officials say the coroner has been called because one person has died, but the cause of the fire and the person's identity were not being immediately released.
