Police officer injured after vehicle chase in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Wilmington Police say an officer was injured during a struggle with a driver after a chase.

It happened about 10:30 p.m. Sunday at West 2nd and King streets. Police say an officer saw a driver fail to stop at a stop sign. Authorities say a chase ensued and ended after the vehicle hit a curb and became disabled.

Police say the officer and driver were injured in a struggle until the man was taken into custody. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Twenty-eight-year-old James Henry of New Castle was charged with resisting arrest and multiple traffic offenses.
