MARRERO, Louisiana — Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand two men were shot and killed in a car that then ran into a house in Marrero and caught fire.
He said in a news release early Saturday that the men's names were being withheld until their families could be notified.
The men's bodies were found after the car hit the house shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Sheriff's spokesman John Fortunato says the fire under the car was small, apparently started because the car remained in gear with the front wheels turning.
He says investigators have not identified any suspects or found a motive.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about the killings to call the Homicide Division or Crimestoppers.
