CHARLESTON, West Virginia — West Virginia is celebrating various cultures with the 25th annual Multifest in Charleston.

Organizers say the event begins Friday at the State Capitol Complex and runs through Sunday.

The free event will feature art, music, education, cultural programs and cuisine. More than 30,000 people are expected to attend.

Multifest is sponsored by West Virginia University. Other major sponsors include the city of Charleston and the Kanawha County Commission.
