Health department says Warren town beach safe for swimming; all Rhode Island beaches open

WARREN, Rhode Island — State health officials have recommended the reopening to swimmers of the town beach in Warren.

The Rhode Island Department of Health said Thursday water quality tests show that bacteria levels have returned to within acceptable limits.

The department monitors water quality throughout the summer months to ensure safe conditions for swimmers. Water analysis is done the health department lab or one certified by the state.

All licensed beaches are now considered safe and are open for swimming.
