FARGO, North Dakota — The Fire Department in Fargo is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged an apartment.

Battalion Chief Craig Nelson says smoke was visible inside the building when fire crews arrived to the scene. Nobody was at the apartment when the blaze started and no injuries were reported.

The building's occupants were evacuated while fire fighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

The Fargo Fire Department responded with 17 personnel on four engines, one truck and two command vehicles.
