BRADFORD, Vermont — Vermont State Police are investigating the death of an infant in Bradford.

Police say the preliminary investigation does not reveal any evidence of foul play.

A mother called 911 Saturday morning to report that she and husband found their 2 1/2 month old daughter unresponsive in her crib.

The father started CPR and emergency responders continued trying to revive the infant. She was pronounced dead at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday. The baby's name is being withheld until family members are notified.
