Caterpillar moving call center from Virginia to West Virginia

BLUEFIELD, West Virginia — Caterpillar Inc. says it is moving a call center from Pearisburg, Virginia, to Bluefield, West Virginia.

Media outlets report 24 jobs will be transferred to a former AAA auto club facility.

Janet Bailey of the Development Authority of Mercer County says the new facility will involve both domestic and international calls for Caterpillar.

Officials say the call center will open on Jan. 1.
