STANTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police say a 74-year-old man was punched during a robbery attempt at a Stanton gas station.
It happened about 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Exxon gas station on Main Street. Troopers say a man was filling his car's gas taken when another man approached him and implied he had a weapon.
Police say the robber demanded money, but the victim hesitated, and the robber punched him knocking him down.
The suspect ran away with getting anything from the victim.
Police say the victim suffered a minor injury but refused treatment.
