GRETNA, Louisiana — A Gretna Police officer has been suspended without pay after his arrest in Plaquemines Parish on a distributing child pornography charge.

Deputy Chief Anthony Christiana says 60-year-old Ronald Dale Black, of Port Sulphur, was arrested Monday. Black remained in the Belle Chasse jail Tuesday in lieu of an $85,000 bond. It was unknown if he had an attorney who could comment on the case.

Authorities allege Black shared a video online with an undercover Plaquemines Parish detective that depicted a young girl — about 4 to 6 years old — engaged in sexual intercourse with an adult man.

The sheriff's office says Black had been assigned to the Gretna Police Department's court security division. Christiana tells NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune (http://bit.ly/1KuoDsM ) that Black was a 10-year veteran of the department.
