Ohio fugitive wanted for failing to register as sex offender captured in Summers County

HINTON, West Virginia — Authorities say a fugitive wanted in Ohio has been captured in Summers County.

WVNS-TV (http://bit.ly/1J0RYzq ) reports 29-year-old Luis George Garcia, of Cleveland, was captured Monday. Garcia was wanted for an escape parole violation for failing to register as a sex offender.

The Summers County Sheriff's Department found Garcia on a river bank in the Forest Hill area. Garcia was armed with a knife, but was arrested without incident.

He was taken to Southern Regional Jail. No bail has been posted at this time.

It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
