Dodgers activate RHP Joel Peralta from disabled list, send down 2 pitchers

CHICAGO — The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated right-hander Joel Peralta from the disabled list and recalled left-hander Ian Thomas from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Los Angeles also sent relievers Daniel Coulombe and Matt West to Oklahoma City before Monday night's game at the Chicago Cubs.

Peralta had been sidelined with shoulder soreness. He pitched 5 2-3 scoreless innings over seven April appearances, going 1-0 with three saves in three chances.

Los Angeles acquired Thomas in the May trade that sent infielder Juan Uribe to the Atlanta Braves. Thomas is 0-1 with a 6.48 ERA in six major league games this year.

Coulombe had no record and an 8.53 ERA in four games with Los Angeles. West pitched three scoreless innings in two games with the NL West leaders.
