TAYLORS, South Carolina — Greenville County sheriff's deputies have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a man at an apartment in Taylors.

Sgt. Jennings Autrey said in a statement Monday that Tamajio Devonte Leaks has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. It was not clear if Leaks has an attorney.

The coroner's office told local media outlets that the victim in the shooting Saturday evening was 23-year-old Anquan Lemuel Gambrell of Clinton.

Coroner Parks Evans says an autopsy was planned Monday.

Autrey said deputies were called to a home in Taylors around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Autrey says officers found Gambrell in a breezeway of an apartment building.

Gambrell was taken to a Greenville hospital where he died Sunday.
