Retired teacher killed in single-vehicle rollover accident in East Providence

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Police say a woman has died after her vehicle rolled over in East Providence.

WPRI-TV reports ( ) that police identified the driver as 63-year-old East Providence resident Leslie Logan.

The report says the East Providence School Department said Logan was an elementary school teacher in the city for 35 years and retired in 2008.

The crash occurred shortly before noon Wednesday. Firefighters cut the roof off the vehicle to get to Logan. No one else was in the vehicle.

Logan was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
