MEDIA, Pennsylvania — Closing arguments are scheduled Tuesday in the trial of three people charged in the shooting death of a drugstore manager in suburban Philadelphia.

Twenty-four-year-old Rita Pultro, 25-year-old David Wiggins and 24-year-old Tariq Mahmud are charged in Delaware County with murder, robbery and conspiracy.

Authorities allege that Pultro and Wiggins tried to rob the Rite Aid in Chester in September 2013 but ended up shooting 40-year-old Jason McClay before fleeing. Mahmud, a store employee, is accused of having provided information about security procedures.

The Philadelphia Inquirer (http://bit.ly/1ETBdUc ) reports that the three chose not to take the stand Monday.

Two other defendants have pleaded guilty in the case and are expected to be sentenced next month.

Judge George Pagano told the jury he expects that their deliberations will begin Wednesday.
