KALAMAZOO, Michigan — Drake Caggiula scored the game-winner in overtime as No. 1-ranked North Dakota beat Western Michigan 3-2 Saturday for a sweep of their National Collegiate Hockey Conference series.

Caggiula's backhander with 1:29 left in OT made sure UND will remain in first place in the NCHC despite blowing a two-goal lead in the last four minutes of the game.

Zane McIntyre made 34 saves to pick up the win for North Dakota (22-6-3, 13-5-2), which improved to 15-0-2 on Saturday.

Michael Parks and Paul LaDue scored in the second and third period to state UND to a 2-0 lead.

Western Michigan (12-14-4, 5-11-4-3) came back late in the third. Taylor Fleming and Justin Kovacs scored in the closing minutes to force overtime. Kovacs got the equalizer with 30 seconds left.

All three Western Michigan goals in the series came with the goalie pulled for extra attackers. Fleming's was 6-on-4 on a power play.

Lukas Hafner made 27 saves for the Broncos.
