GAINESVILLE, Georgia — A 2-year-old Georgia boy has died after police say a teenager struck him with a vehicle.
The Gainesville Times (http://bit.ly/1QyFKQp) reports 19-year-old Joshua Sanders struck the child Sunday. Saunders was arrested on charges of DUI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and vehicular homicide. Police say Saunders tried to back up in a 1978 Chevrolet K10 and the toddler ran behind the car. Sheriff's deputies escorted Saunders back to the scene after he drove about half a mile away.
Toxicology tests are pending.
The 2-year-old's name hasn't been released.
