TUCSON, Arizona — Tucson police have arrested a man accused of shooting another man following an argument.

Police spokesman Brandon Tatum says 46-year-old Douglas Van Der Sloot is facing a second-degree murder charge and is being held in Pima County Jail.

Tatum says officers were looking for a pickup truck that was spotted leaving the scene of the shooting Saturday night.

When they located a truck matching the description, police discovered 41-year-old Charlie Bencomo suffering from gunshot trauma in the truck bed.

Bencomo was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Van Der Sloot was detained by police and witnesses say both men had gotten into an altercation before the shooting.
