PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Gas prices continue to fall in Rhode Island and are now at their lowest point since before Memorial Day.

AAA Northeast says its weekly survey Monday found that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas had fallen four cents since last week, to $2.67. That's two cents above the national average of $2.65 per gallon.

A year ago at this time, gas cost $3.60 per gallon on average in Rhode Island — 35 percent higher than the current price.

Prices have fallen 12 cents per gallon since a month ago.
