NEWARK, Delaware — The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store in Newark.

Police say a man armed with a handgun and wearing a mask walked into a 7-Eleven on Red Mill Road around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday and confronted both the store's clerk and a customer, demanding money from them. Police say the clerk and customer complied with the man's demands, and the suspect then fled on foot.

Police say the suspect is six feet tall and weighs roughly 190 pounds. Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and white shoes.
