FRANKFURT, Germany — Germany may be without attacking midfielder Julian Draxler for the upcoming European Championship qualifying matches against Poland and Ireland.
The German football federation says Draxler was unable to make it to the team's training base in Frankfurt on Tuesday because he has the flu.
The federation was unable to say if Draxler might join the team later.
If Draxler is absent, Germany coach Joachim Loew will have 19 available players for Saturday's match in Warsaw and the match against Ireland three days later in Gelsenkirchen.
