Driver dies after going off road, crashing into utility pole; police investigating

ENOSBURG, Vermont — Police say a 29-year-old woman has died after her car went off a road and struck a utility pole in Enosburg.

Authorities say Raphaelle Baillargeon of St. Albans was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Police said the crash happened near Route 105 at about 2:20 a.m. Thursday.

They said it appears the car — a Honda Fit — left the road and the driver overcorrected, causing the car to abruptly turn back onto the road and across several lanes to strike the pole.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
