Tucson police: Man fatally shot during altercation between small groups of people

TUCSON, Arizona — Tucson police say a man is dead after being shot during an altercation between two small groups of people on the city's southeast side.

Sgt. Pete Dugan says 32-year-old Paul David Lauderdale was fatally shot Tuesday when an individual fired multiple shots during the altercation near the intersection of South Craycroft Road and East 26th Street.

Further information on what led to the shooting aren't immediately available.

Dugan says several people were detained immediately after the shooting but that no arrests have been made.
