LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — A Roland woman has been found fit to stand trial for murder in the shooting death of her husband — who was an Arkansas park ranger and a retired state police lieutenant.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1K1fzz9 ) that a Pulaski County judge ruled Friday that 56-year-old Pamela Digman is competent for trial in the January 2014 shooting death of Jerry Digman.

Pulaski County deputies found Jerry Digman shot to death in the couple's home after Pamela Digman called 911 and said she shot him during an argument and a fight over a pistol.

Defense attorney Rob Berry said Digman will present an insanity defense at trial.

Jerry Digman had been chief ranger for the state Parks and Tourism Department for a few months after retiring from the state police.
