NEW YORK — New York City police say they've arrested a 15-year-old boy on a robbery charge following weekend violence on a subway train in Brooklyn.
The arrest was made Monday. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Friday, on the L train traveling south from Broadway Junction.
Police say a group approached a 16-year-old victim and asked what gang he was in. When he said he wasn't in a gang, they started punching and kicking him.
Authorities say the group pulled the teen off the train at the Atlantic Avenue station and continued the attack. The teen was knocked unconscious, and the suspects took his phone, sneakers and jeans before fleeing.
Police released photos of two suspects from transit surveillance video.
