RALEIGH, North Carolina — It was a lucrative week for people playing games with the N.C. Education Lottery.
A statement from the lottery says two $1 million prizes, a player's second major win and two prizes for Durham residents were among the winners of nearly $4 million a day.
An Old Fort resident was on his way to Morganton when he stopped to buy gas. He also bought a $1,000,000 Jackpot game ticket and found he'd won the grand prize.
Another million dollars went to a Wake County man who played a game that debuted last Tuesday. With that win, three top prizes of $4 million and four $1 million prizes remain to be claimed.
Two players from Durham claimed prizes totaling more than $500,000, and a Shallotte woman won $250,000.
