NEWARK, New Jersey — A northern New Jersey man is headed to prison for distributing images of child sexual abuse online.

Federal prosecutors say John Ellenbacher received a 20-year sentence on Monday. He also must register as a sex offender and will forfeit the computers and computer accessories he used to commit the offense.

The 49-year-old Linden man had pleaded guilty in February 2014, admitting that he distributed 90 images and six videos depicting child sexual abuse to others via email during a one-week period in August 2012.

He also admitted possessing more than 600 images and videos of child pornography on computer devices seized by federal law enforcement agents when they executed a search warrant at his home in March 2013.
