RICHMOND, Virginia — A Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony is set for Sunday at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond.

The event begins at 2 p.m. It's hosted by the Richmond Council of the Navy League of the United States and the Virginia War Memorial Foundation.

Tom Hassell, president of the Navy League's Richmond Council, says the ceremony will include the laying of wreathes in memory of those Virginians who died in the Dec. 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor attack. The names of each Virginian who died in the attack will be read and remembered by the tolling of the ship's bell from the USS Virginia, which is on permanent display at the memorial.
