ANDERSON, South Carolina — A man has been sentenced to three life prison terms for killing three people at a home in Pelzer earlier this year.

Local media outlets reported that prosecutor Chrissy Adams said 35-year-old Jared Michael Williams was sentenced after pleading guilty Thursday to charges including murder and carjacking.

Authorities say Williams went to the home in March and shot four people, killing all but one. The coroner says 40-year-old Wanda Anderson, 48-year-old Victor Vandegrift and 32-year-old Hank Eaton were shot to death.

Investigators say an argument over shoes led to the shootings. A woman who survived told authorities she hid under a bed after she was shot and waited for Williams to leave.

Authorities say Williams' girlfriend, 20-year-old Hope Kristian Phillips, was with him during the shootings. Her charges are pending.
