CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Authorities in Iredell County accuse a Mooresville business owner of pocketing the money from the sale of boats and trailers belonging to others.

The Charlotte Observer reports ( ) 23-year-old Seth Bloom of Mooresville is charged with four counts each of obtaining property by false pretense and conversion by bailee. Deputies say he's jailed under $60,000 bond, and it's not known if he has an attorney.

Investigators said they received several complaints from boat owners who had consigned their watercraft and trailers to Bloom so he could sell them. Detectives said they determined that Bloom sold several boats and trailers to people who live outside Iredell County, then allegedly pocketed the money.
