Police: Truck driver may face charges in Ohio crash that killed New York man

SOLON, Ohio — Police in Ohio say a semi-truck driver may face criminal charges in a crash that killed a New York man and critically injured a second man.

The crash happened Monday afternoon in Bainbridge Township, located about 16 miles southeast of Cleveland, on U.S. 422.

Police Chief Jon Bokovitz tells Northeast Ohio Media Group (http://bit.ly/1WOoVmw ) the Indiana man's semi went off the right side of the road and hit another semi and a tow truck that were stopped on the shoulder.

The crash killed 49-year-old Kenneth Reid, of New York, and seriously injured a Parma man, who remains hospitalized at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Bokovitz says that the driver will likely face criminal charges, but that won't be determined until the investigation is complete.
