MAGNA, Utah — Police say a woman is expected to recover after she was stabbed several times in a Magna home Sunday night.
Unified Police say the 32-year-old woman was stabbed while at a home near 3000 South and 8900 West around 9:30 p.m.
Lt. Justin Hoyal says an argument led to a 20-year-old woman attacking the older woman with a knife, stabbing her multiple times in the upper body.
Hoyal says the two women knew each other and shortly before the attack, the 20-year-old woman had been asked to leave the home.
The older woman was taken to a hospital in Murray in fair condition.
The younger woman was arrested on assault charges and remained in Salt Lake County Jail on Monday.
Officials have not released the identities of either woman.
