AMTRAK CEO SAYS AGENCY TAKES 'FULL RESPONSIBILITY,' APOLOGIZES FOR PHILLY DERAILMENT THAT KILLED 8
The last wrecked cars from Tuesday's derailment were pulled from the scene. The railroad is making repairs to damaged tracks, signals and overhead power lines before resuming limited service between Philadelphia and New York on Monday, with full service expected the following day.
FIRST FUNERAL SET FOR AMTRAK VICTIM
This morning's service for U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Justin Zemser will take place in New York on Long Island. The 20-year-old sophomore was traveling home to New York City when he was killed in Tuesday's accident.
FEDERAL JURY ACQUITS 6 FORMER PHILADELPHIA NARCOTICS OFFICERS
The jury rejected prosecutors' claims that officers stole more than $400,000 in drug money, beat suspects and lied to win convictions. Lawyers for the veteran city officers strenuously attacked the credibility of a string of drug dealers and a disgraced former squad member who testified at the trial.

Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed said Col. Marcus Brown had no intent to commit theft. Rather, he had sought to keep the signs from being seen by his wife and children. They criticized him for wearing a uniform without graduating from a state police academy.
EIGHTH-GRADER, 21-YEAR-OLD SOLDIER BOYFRIEND TO STAND TRIAL IN KILLING OF GIRL'S MOTHER
A district judge in Lehigh County says there's enough evidence against Jamie Silvonek, 14, and Army Spc. Caleb Barnes for the case to continue. The girl is being tried as an adult. A county detective says he found the couple in bed inside the victim's home near Allentown shortly after the mother's body was found in a shallow grave.
