SUMMERVILLE, South Carolina — Authorities say they have arrested a Hanahan man for lying to investigators trying to find a woman the suspect had met online for a date.

Investigators told local media outlets that 28-year-old Ashley Pegram of Summerville has not been seen since April 4 when she went on a date with 30-year-old Edward Bonilla.

Deputies say they questioned Bonilla about what happened to Pegram and he lied. They did not specify what he said.

Authorities say they think Pegram possibly was a victim of foul play.

Bonilla's bond was set at $400,000 on the obstructing justice charge. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer.
