FARGO, North Dakota — A man who walked away from a Fargo halfway house less than three weeks before his release date has been arrested in Minnesota.

Wayne Fisher is charged in federal court with escape. Authorities say he left the Centre Inc. facility between 9:15 and 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Fisher was apprehended earlier this week in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota.

A federal court judge in Minnesota sentenced Fisher in June 2007 to 10 years in prison on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Federal court documents do not list an attorney for Fisher.
