Police arrest Phoenix man for driving wrong way on I-17 for 4 miles


PHOENIX — Authorities arrested a Phoenix man for driving the wrong way on Interstate 17 north of Black Canyon City this week.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says an officer arrested 39-year-old Damian Ballesteros for driving southbound in the northbound lane for four miles on I-17.

The vehicle was involved in two collisions. No one was injured.

Officers say they arrested Ballesteros on Sunday for extreme DUI, aggravated DUI, having an open container, endangerment and driving on a suspended license.
