CORONA, California — Authorities say a brush fire has burned seven acres and prompted the closure of one lane of a freeway linking Orange and Riverside counties.
Anaheim Police Lt. Eric Trapp says one lane of the eastbound 91 freeway was closed as a precaution for firefighters battling a seven acre blaze that broke out Friday.
Riverside County Fire officials say nearly 100 firefighters from multiple agencies were sent to the scene.
The fire was first reported shortly before 1 p.m.
No injuries were reported. Officials were trying to estimate how much of the fire had been contained.
