Falmouth man died in heads-on crash on Route 28 in Barnstable


BARNSTABLE, Massachusetts — A Falmouth man is dead after a crash involving three vehicles on Route 28 in Barnstable.

Police say a car driven by 64-year-old Thomas Levesque was headed west in Cotuit at about 8:15 p.m. Monday when he veered into the oncoming lane and struck the left side mirror of one vehicle before continuing on and hitting another vehicle head-on.

Levesque suffered severe trauma and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man in the vehicle struck head-on was also taken to the hospital. Two vehicles were severely damaged.

The crash remains under investigation.
