NORFOLK, Virginia — A Virginia Beach man has been sentenced to life in federal prison on multiple counts relating to the production of child pornography.

Twenty-seven-year-old Robert Harold Scott Jr. was sentenced Monday in federal court in Norfolk. Scott was convicted by a jury in July.

Prosecutors say Scott used the Internet to convince five different women to sexually explicit images of children.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Scott was very specific as to the sex acts he wanted done on camera.

Officials say seven different children ranging in age from one to five were sexually abused as a result of Scott's actions.

Four of the women already pleaded guilty in federal court to production of child pornography. One of the women pleaded guilty in Chesapeake Circuit Court.
