BRATTLEBORO, Vermont — In its third try to find a town manager, Brattleboro has 49 applicants to consider.
The Selectboard had failed to come to an agreement with top candidates in its previous two attempts.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports (http://bit.ly/1bI41RH) after telephone interviews, the board will bring two or three candidates to town for interviews with the board, as well as with a committee of town employees and a third citizens' committee.
Former Town Manager Barbara Sondag left last year, saying she would be moving back to Missouri.
Former Assistant Town Manager Patrick Moreland has been acting as the interim town manager.
