RICHMOND, Virginia — Jacobi Green ran for 217 yards on 36 carries with a touchdown to help lead Richmond to a 20-9 win over William & Mary on Saturday, clinching a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title in the process.
The Spiders' (8-3, 6-2) win coupled with James Madison's victory over Villanova places them, along with the Dukes and the Tribe, in a three way tie atop the conference standings at 6-2.
The game was also Richmond's fourth straight win over William & Mary, which could have won the conference outright with a victory.
Kyle Lauletta found Brian Brown from 18-yards out late in the second quarter which gave the Spiders a 7-3 lead which they did not relinquish the rest of the afternoon.
Lauletta finished with 171 yards passing and two scores and Brown had 101 yards receiving.
Steve Cluley threw for 215 yards for the Tribe but had three interceptions.
