Man pleads guilty to lesser charge in stabbing death of Lexington resident

LEXINGTON, Nebraska — A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in the fatal stabbing of another Lexington resident.

Lexington radio station KRVN says ( ) Navor Millan was convicted Monday of manslaughter and a weapons charge. He'd been charged with second-degree murder for the Dec. 28 slaying of 21-year-old Douglas Matzar.

Police say the incident started when Millan got into a disagreement with some other young men in a parking lot. They all went to a Lexington residence, where the argument turned physical. Police say Millan stabbed Matzar in the face and chest.
