Concessions operator selected for new Minot airport terminal; $94M facility to open next year

MINOT, North Dakota — Minot airport officials have selected a Georgia company to provide food and gift shop services in the city's new terminal when it opens early next year.

The City Council's Airport Committee voted this week to recommend the council approve Oakwells, of Atlanta, Georgia, as the airport concession operator and authorize city staff to negotiate a contract.

Airport Director Andrew Solsvig tells the Minot Daily News (http://bit.ly/1j3g95X ) that Oakwells also provides concession services in the Grand Forks airport terminal.

Crews began work on the $94 million terminal in the fall of 2013. It's scheduled to open in late February
