LAS CRUCES, New Mexico — A southeastern New Mexico man has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison after pleading guilty in a drug trafficking case.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 47-year-old Luis Carlos Bujanda of Hobbs was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Las Cruces.
Bujanda was arrested Dec. 12, 2013 and he pleaded guilty last July 24 to a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine.
His plea agreement requires him to forfeit $3,366 seized during a search of his home and a truck purchased with drug proceeds.
