ARLINGTON, Washington — The bodies of two people have been recovered from the ruins of a mobile home fire near Arlington.

Neighbors reported the fire just after 9 p.m. Monday.

The chief of the local Snohomish County fire district, Travis Hots, says flames were shooting out of the structure with firefighters arrived. The heat was too intense for them to go inside. The roof of the mobile home collapsed.

The Snohomish County medical examiner did not immediately identify the bodies recovered Tuesday afternoon. Neighbors said two brothers lived in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
