VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Bo Horvat scored in the third period to give the Vancouver Canucks a 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks in a split-squad game Tuesday night that kicked off the preseason for both teams.
Selected No. 9 overall by Vancouver in this year's draft with the pick the Canucks acquired in the Cory Schneider trade with New Jersey, the 19-year-old Horvat fired in a loose puck at 11:33 to give Vancouver its third lead.
Alex Stalock made 15 stops for San Jose.
