Arkansas State Police say 2 Springdale residents killed in 2-vehicle collision

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas — Arkansas State Police say two Springdale residents were killed in a two-vehicle collision.

A police report says 94-year-old Charlie Eastep and 87-year-old Effie Eastep died when the vehicle they were in collided with another vehicle at an intersection on Sunday.

The report says the vehicle driven by Charlie Eastep was northbound on a city street when he failed to yield and drove into the path of an eastbound vehicle on Highway 412. Eastep's vehicle was struck on the driver's side.
